Not just any problem — one where the HUMAN IMPACT matters.

Look for problems in:

Homework stress or unclear assignments
Lost-and-found chaos

Before you present this solution, test it with human thinking:

Imagine you're in each stakeholder group. How would you react to this solution?

"Would I actually go along with this, or find ways around it?"
"Does this feel fair, or like adults making rules without understanding?"
"Would this actually improve my experience, or just look good on paper?"

As a teacher:

"Is this realistic with everything else on my plate?"
"Can I actually enforce/support this consistently?"
"Does this solve the problem or create more work for me?"

As a parent:

"Would I support this or worry about unintended effects?"
"Does this address my concerns about safety/learning/wellbeing?"
"Would my child benefit from this or be negatively affected?"

As an administrator:

"Can we actually implement this with our resources?"
"What are the liability/policy/budget implications?"
"Does this align with our educational mission?"

Adjust your solution based on these perspectives until you can honestly say:

"This solution is both SMART and HUMAN-CENTERED. It uses data wisely while respecting that people aren't just numbers."

Present Your Human-AI Solution

5 minutes — Communication

Write up your solution in this format:

You created something better than pure human intuition OR pure AI optimization alone

If Something Goes Wrong

"Algo keeps suggesting solutions that would embarrass or single out certain people."

Your human wisdom is working PERFECTLY! This is exactly why YOU'RE the leader. Tell Algo: "That solution would make [group] feel singled out or 'different' in a way that hurts their dignity. We need solutions that help them without labeling or segregating them. Suggest alternatives that provide support while maintaining privacy and choice."

"The most efficient solution doesn't feel fair to everyone."

Efficiency without fairness isn't a real solution — it just helps some people while hurting others. This is YOUR judgment call. Ask: "What's a less purely efficient approach that's more fair and still genuinely improves the situation for everyone? Sometimes 'good enough' efficiency that treats everyone with dignity is better than 'optimal' efficiency that doesn't."

"I can't tell if my solution would actually work in real life with real people."

Field test it! Describe your solution to 2-3 people it would actually affect. Ask them honestly: "Would you really use/support this? What would stop you? What would make you more likely to participate?" Real feedback beats theoretical planning every time.

"Algo found lots of research but I don't understand how it applies to MY specific situation."

Ask for translation help! Tell Algo: "Explain how the [example solution you researched] could be adapted specifically to my situation, which has these unique factors: [describe what makes your situation different]. What would need to change to make it work in my context?"

"Adults might say 'that costs too much' or 'we don't have time for that.'"

Anticipate this in your presentation! Include: (1) Lower-cost alternatives, (2) Phased implementation (start small, prove it works, then expand), (3) Student/family volunteers who could help, (4) Grants or fundraising possibilities. Show you've thought about reality, not just ideal scenarios.
